西北农林科技大学农林博物院（博览园）坐落于国家杨凌农业高新技术产业示范区，依托西北农林科技大学学科优势、标本资源与农耕文化底蕴建设而成，是国内目前最大的农业主题博物馆组群，现为国家二级博物馆、全国科普教育基地、AAAA级旅游景区。
农林博物院于2005年10月对外开放，占地200亩，现设有昆虫博物馆、动物博物馆、土壤博物馆、植物博物馆、中国农业历史博物馆、农业水利博物馆等6个专业博物馆，以及蝴蝶园、树木园、中草药园、五谷园等多个植物种质资源圃。收藏昆虫标本150余万号，动物标本8000余件，植物标本55万份，土壤标本2000余种，农史文物及农具5000余件，线装古籍50000余册，树木800余种。农林博物院依托丰富的标本、实物、文物、模型、珍稀植物及多种现代化展示手段，生动展现了动物、昆虫、植物、土壤与农业水利的奇趣世界和中国农耕文明发展历史，融知识性、科学性、趣味性和观赏性于一体，可满足高校教学实训、青少年研学实践、社会公众科普游览、行业学术交流等多层次需求。作为学校对外开放与文化传播的核心窗口，农林博物院持续深耕社会服务与品牌建设，常态化开展劳动教育、科普宣讲、文化传播、志愿服务等公益活动，先后获评“全国科普教育基地”、首批“国家国土资源科普基地”“全国社会科学普及教育基地”、首批“全国中小学科普教育社会实践基地”、首批“大思政课”实践教学基地等国家级、省部级基地荣誉30余项。
农林博物院将持续推进馆藏数字化、展陈精品化、科普品牌化、服务规范化建设，全力打造特色鲜明、国内一流的农林高校博物馆，持续赋能学校人才培养、学科发展与区域科普教育事业高质量发展。

Nestled in Yangling National Agricultural High-tech Industrial Demonstration Zone, the Agriculture and Forestry Museum (Expo Park) of Northwest A&F University is built on the university’s disciplinary strengths, abundant specimen resources and profound farming cultural heritage. As China’s largestagriculture-themed museum complex, it has been designated as a National Second-Class Museum, National Popular Science Education Base and AAAA-level Tourist Attraction.
Opened to the public in October 2005, the museum covers an area of 200 mu (approx. 13.3 hectares). It houses six specialized museums: the Insect Museum, Animal Museum, Soil Museum, Plant Museum, China Agricultural History Museum and Agricultural Water Conservancy Museum, alongside multiple plant germplasm gardens including the Butterfly Garden, Arboretum, Chinese Herbal Garden and Five Grains Garden. Its extensive collections feature over 1.5 million insect specimens, more than 8,000 animal specimens, 550,000 plant specimens, over 2,000 types of soil samples, more than 5,000 agricultural historical relics and farm tools, over 50,000 thread-bound ancient books, and more than 800 tree species.
With abundant specimens, physical relics, cultural artifacts, models, rare plants and modern exhibition technologies, the museum vividly presents the fascinating world of animals, insects, plants, soil and agricultural water conservancy, as well as the evolution of China’s farming civilization. Integrating knowledge, science, fun and visual appeal, it serves multi-level demands including university teaching and training, youth study tours, public science visits and industrial academic exchanges.
As a core window for the university’s external communication and cultural outreach, the museum continuously expands its public services and brand development, regularly organizing public welfare activities such as labor education, science lectures, cultural promotion and volunteer services. To date, it has been awarded more than 30 national and provincial honors, including the National Popular Science Education Base, one of the first batch of National Land and Resources Popular Science Bases, the National Social Science Popularization Education Base, one of the first batch of National Primary and Secondary School Social Practice Bases for Science Education, and one of the first batch of Practical Teaching Bases for "Great Ideological and Political Courses".
The museum will further advance the digitalization of collections, high-quality exhibitions, branded science outreach and standardized services, striving to build a top-tier agricultural and forestry university museum with distinctive features. It will continue to empower the high-quality development of the university’s talent cultivation, disciplinary progress and regional popular science education.
